The Foundation has 12 Foundation 36 yachts, with access to a further nine identical yachts. Each yacht is in survey for up to eleven guests, with a skilled Foundation instructor brings the total per yacht to a maximum of twelve. The instructor is there to assist and coach your guests as well as ensure that everyone has an enjoyable time in a safe setting.
If your guests are not keen to be involved in the sailing of the yacht; No Problem! They can just soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the moment, we will do the work!
Our guests are given the option of doing, as little, or as much as they like to enjoy the outing.
No sailing experience needed to enjoy the outing!
The Foundation has a list of very experienced yachting personalities, including America’s Cup veterans that we use to ‘coach’ our guests through every aspect of the sailing.
One of the benefits with our sailing outings are the participants have ownership of their result in the races – They did the sailing themselves! What better way for your guests to relax and get some of that competitive spirit in them going!
Your function will be conducted from the Royal Perth Yacht Club, which is steeped in history. The Club is the second oldest club in Australia and one of only five yacht clubs in the world to win the prestigious America’s Cup.
Our programs can be fully customised to suit the size of your group.
The chefs at the Royal Perth Yacht Club will cook the meal for you and will dine in front of the yacht club looking over the Swan River. Beverages are available from the bar at standard bar prices. If desired we can organise a bar tab for you. To view upcoming Sailing Events, click here.
